‘Fitness is my self-care while raising a child with complex needs’

Just seven days after becoming parents, Chris and his wife Hannah’s world was turned upside down when their little girl suffered a seizure and was diagnosed with a rare mitochondrial condition.

In his podcast episode with Joe Wicks, Chris shares how his approach to exercise has changed since having children, why resilience is so important when raising children with complex needs, and the various fitness challenges he and his wife have undertaken to raise awareness of their daughter’s condition.

Plus, Joe and Chris talk about the importance of looking after yourself as a carer and how being disciplined with a good morning routine can help reduce stress.

Find out more about The Freya Foundation, the charity that Chris and his wife Hannah support.
